ViReal Views is built to publish and monetize compilation videos on YouTube. That means we have to filter out raw clips that are likely to get “limited or no ads” (demonetized) under YouTube’s Advertiser-friendly content guidelines.

Your raw footage includes things YouTube evaluates for ad suitability:

  • What’s shown on camera

  • What’s said in the audio

  • Any visible on-screen text (signs, captions, overlays, profanity on clothing, etc.)

If your clip fits any category below, it’s not eligible for “Qualified Submission.”

1) Graphic violence, injury, blood, or death

We don’t accept clips where the main point is harm.

Not acceptable:

  • Real fights/assaults where you clearly see injury, blood, or a person being hurt

  • Aftermath footage that lingers on injuries, wounds, blood, or death

  • “Violence is the entertainment” content (even if it’s “real life”)

2) Sexual content or nudity

We don’t accept anything sexualized or meant to arouse.

Not acceptable:

  • Nudity, explicit body-part focus, sexual acts (even implied)

  • Sexual moaning/sounds, explicit sexual talk, fetish content

  • “Accidental nudity” that’s still clearly visible or central to the clip

3) Hate speech, slurs, or degrading content

If the clip includes hateful language or targeted degradation, we decline.

Not acceptable:

  • Racial/ethnic slurs, homophobic slurs, or identity-based insults in audio

  • Content that dehumanizes or attacks a protected group

4) Extreme profanity or profanity-heavy clips

We’re not trying to police normal speech — but if the clip is profanity-forward, it’s a monetization risk.

Not acceptable:

  • Repeated strong profanity throughout the clip

  • Strong profanity that is the “moment” (the whole punchline is the swear)

  • Any slurs (automatic decline)

(Note: YouTube has relaxed some profanity timing rules, but excessive profanity is still a problem for ads.)

5) Shocking / disgusting / disturbing footage

If it’s designed to gross people out or shock them, it’s usually not ad-safe.

Not acceptable:

  • Graphic bodily fluids or disturbing medical/injury detail

  • Extreme filth/infestation as the focal point

  • Content focused on suffering or humiliation

6) Drugs (recreational) and drug use content

We don’t accept clips centered on drugs.

Not acceptable:

  • Drug consumption, intoxication, or “drug culture” as the main subject

  • Any instructional content about obtaining, making, or distributing drugs

7) Firearms / weapons content that feels threatening or instructional

We will reject weapon content that creates ad risk.

Not acceptable:

  • Brandishing weapons in a threatening context

  • Instructional weapon use intended for harm

  • Real-world gun violence footage

8) Dangerous acts, stunts, or harmful behavior

We don’t accept clips that show or encourage dangerous behavior.

Not acceptable:

  • Stunts/challenges that could reasonably cause injury if copied

  • Reckless endangerment (e.g., extreme risk driving, dangerous pranks)

  • Anything that looks like it encourages harm

9) Sensitive events and tragedy exploitation

We don’t accept content that uses tragedy as spectacle.

Not acceptable:

  • Footage that exploits disasters, attacks, severe accidents, or death for shock

  • “Look at this tragedy” clips without clear responsible context

10) Self-harm, suicide, abuse, and other controversial issues (handled strictly)

This category can be monetized sometimes on YouTube if it’s non-graphic and handled carefully — but for ViReal Views raw submissions, we keep it tight to protect the channel.

Not acceptable:

  • Any graphic depiction or description of self-harm/suicide/abuse

  • Content that sensationalizes or exploits these issues

  • Any content focused on child abuse / child sex trafficking or eating disorders (we decline outright)

11) Harmful misinformation / unreliable content

If the clip pushes dangerous false claims that could cause harm, we decline.

12) Tobacco / vaping content (if it’s the point)

If the clip is centered on smoking/vaping use or promotion, it’s a monetization risk.

Not acceptable:

  • Vaping/smoking as the primary focus, glamorized or promoted

Quick “Is my raw clip qualified?” check

Your clip is not qualified if:

  • The main moment is violence, injury, blood, nudity, sex, hate/slurs, drugs, weapons, or shock/gross-out

  • The audio includes slurs or profanity-heavy dialogue

  • It depicts or exploits tragedy or abuse/self-harm content (especially anything involving minors)
